All That Jazz Virtual Concert

Free to Watch

Welcome to the All That Jazz Virtual Concert! After spending so much time in class learning about the history and art of jazz, it’s time to see it all come together in a real jazz concert. The musicians in this video each call Columbus home and are proud to be presenting this 30-minute performance to you and your students.

Before starting the video, prompt your students to be on the lookout for things they learned in class, such as

  • Different musical styles

  • Important jazz musicians: Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald

  • Improvisation & Scat Singing

  • The Blues

  • Riffs

  • Swing

  • Bebop

  • Latin Jazz

  • Instruments like the B3 Organ

When you’re done watching this virtual concert, we would love to hear your thoughts!
